I had a stressful job for eleven years and decided that I wanted to make wedding and portrait photography my life's vocation. I promised myself that I wouldn't be stressed in my new found career.

In order for me to achieve that I promise I do a limited number of weddings per year. I choose only those that will allow me to create the best work I possibly can for the couple.  But before the couple can be happy, I have to be happy with the work I produce. I select those weddings that will showcase my art and create images that the couple will treasure for years to come.

It isn't just about digital images.  I believe that photographs should be displayed on walls and in albums.  That's the kind of work I produce for clients.  Sure, it's nice to share with friends in the online world, but in the end a great image is one that looks good printed and displayed properly.

I wasn't trained in wedding and portrait photography. I have a background in art and fashion photography. I approach wedding photography with the same zeal as I do my own personal art work.

The trend in wedding photography is a "life style" or photo journalistic approach.  I do enjoy candid moments, but you can't build an entire wedding on that style of photography.  My images are not posed so much as they are directed in order to achieve the stylish and timeless quality that you can look at for years to come.

Sault Ste Marie has many great locations for wedding photography. I like to not only utilize the natural beauty, but some of the great architecture and urban landscapes for my wedding photography.
