The Design Consultation
The consultation, or planning session, is the first step in creating your
portrait. I'll show you some sample images and give you my philosophy on
how I'll create your image. I'll guide you in the selection of proper
clothing for your portrait, location and environment. All this will help
make the perfect statement of who your are. This way the session will run
smoothly and guarantee images that you'll treasure forever.
Your Portrait Session
Here is where the fun begins! My sessions are unlimited, so I'll shoot all
the poses and combinations you and want and I can think of. Don't worry
about smiling. Just be natural and relax. Sometimes a relax expression can
make a better portrait than a big, cheesy, toothy grin. Be prepared for
some fun. I like to experiment with unique poses and lighting to create
some great art pieces.
The Ordering Appointment
When your session is finished we'll book your viewing session. All
those who are making the buying decision should be present. You'll get to
see your images projected onto a sixty inch screen in all their beautiful
glory - I'll even provide a musical slide show to start out the session.
While you watch you can enjoy a cold, or hot, beverage.
I can help you choose the images for your package and show you how an image
will look on your wall - even with a frame. With the viewing system I can
show you how your portrait will look in black and white or in the brown
sepia tone.
Framing And Making Your Photo Last
Brian Tremblay Photography has a wide range of frames from Fotiou - one of the premier framing companies in Canada. Brian can show you how properly framing your portrait will make it last, and turn from "just a picture" to a "family heirloom". Quality framing is importrant to keep your portrait from fading, yellowing, curling and from the ravages of time. That's why all of our wall portraits are mounted and laminated to last a lifetime. Ask and we'll show you what we mean.
Picture Perfect Promise!
Are you one of those people that don't think you're very photogenic? That
having your portrait taken is like going to the dentist? Then you'll love my Picture
Perfect Promise. You'll love your photos or I'll reshoot them for no charge
(and kick in an extra 8x10 to boot for your trouble).

Suggestions to Make Your Portrait Session Run Smoothly
- Make sure you remember to bring whatever items we discus to personalize your portrait (props, clothing, etc.). Don't forget that if the portrait session involves children to bring their toys as props and maybe even a baby's bottle to sooth infants.
- Wear your hair as you always do. Think carefully about going out and getting a 'new do' before your portrait session - you may not like the results once you see the final images. Brian has a professional make up artist on hand that can be booked with advance notice. This is the ultimate finishing touch for your portrait and makes all the difference between an excellent photograph and an AMAZING photograph! It could also save you on retouching charges afterwards.
- Portrait sessions can vary in length from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on what the consultation results have yielded. We can give you a pretty accurate time frame then.
